JavaScript Engineer

We’re looking for an experienced and well rounded engineer. You’ll be taking on a prominent role in our public transportation data management projects. You’ll be both building out new features and enhancing current ones. You’ll help prototype new ideas and take responsibility for the codebase. You’ll be part of the design process and will give input on feature discussions.

We’re moving all user interfaces to React and some server development to Node.js. Experience building single page JavaScript applications is a must.

Qualities we’re looking for:

• Passion for cities, transportation systems and ways to improve them.
• Communication and project management skills to keep in sync with a geographically distributed team.
• Eye for design to create understandable interfaces.
• Readiness to work in a modern and dynamic environment.
• Comfort working on both the client and server side.

Familiarity with the Amazon Web Services products and deployment processes is an advantage.
